Narrative description of Project:

  • The objective of the programme is to improve the capacity of the learners graduated from non-formal education centre through providing further education
  • The learners graduated from non-formal education centre, particularly the women of the poor families.

In implementing the project Bhagni Nivedit Manchya–BNM provided educational services through: Beneficiary identification;

 § Identification and selection of the graduated learners of the non-formal education;

§ Assess the education needs of  the selected learners;

§ Organising a wide rage of motivational campaign has been undertaken in the project area which has created an atmosphere in favour of education in all walks of life along with financial services;

§ Establishment of education centres;

§ Recruitment of teachers;

§ Ensure material supplies for implementation of projects;

§ Ensure training and retraining of programme personnel as per need and schedule;

§ Look after the aspects of human resource development of the project personnel;

§ Imparting livelihood skill training to the project beneficiaries on different onfarm and offarm income generating issues;

§ Ensuring financial support as credit form through mocrofinance programme of the organization;

§ Providing assistance to be involved in incomegenerating activities (IGAs) and

Overall management & Supervision of Project.

Description of actual services provided in the assignment: During the project period 15 Community Learning Centres (CLCs) to accentuate continuing education programme for new-literates at Khulna areas were established. These 15 Community Learning Centres (CLCs) were used for 2 years for providing with continuing education to 1800 graduates in two shifts in each day in the project area. During the mentioned period, 1200 trained beneficiaries were linked with mcrofinance programme of BNM and provided with financial support as credit form. BNM provided with business development support (BDS) to 875 trained beneficiaries.
