Project Objectives:
·
Empowering the survivors
of trafficking and those at-risk for trafficking;
· Providing sustainable economic alternatives to unsafe internal and
cross-border migration;
· To expand pubic awareness and participation in prevention efforts
and crime reduction;
· Building capacity of the government institutions to identify and
prosecute perpetrators; and
· Eliminating social and gender biases that undermine basic human rights and fundamental freedom and to help perpetuate trafficking.
Duration: 1 May 2012- 30April 2012
The following outputs of the project are achieved:
a)
Arranged 30 campaigns in
30 institutions and the children students and teachers are aware about
prevention of trafficking and they will work to prevent trafficking in their
areas.
b)
Arranged 4 seminars in 4
public places with the participation of different levels of stakeholders as per
plan and they are aware about trafficking prevention & they will work to
prevent trafficking in own areas
c)
Arranged 4 workshops sin 4
public places with the participation of different levels of stakeholders like
NGOs, CBOs, Clubs, religious institution, Ups etc. as per plan and they are
aware about prevention of trafficking and they will work to prevent trafficking
in their areas.
d)
Arranged 4 rallies in 4
public places with the participation of different levels of stakeholders as per
plan & they are aware about prevention of trafficking and they will work to
prevent trafficking in their areas.
e)
Arranged 12 advocacy
meetings in 12 related officials with the participation of different levels of
stakeholders as per plan and they are aware about prevention of trafficking and
they will work to prevent trafficking in their areas.
f)
Installed 4 billboards and
20 wall writings with the messages of trafficking prevention and people are
aware about reading the messages.
g)
Prepared 4 workshop
reports, 4 seminar reports, 4 rally reports, 30 campaign reports and circulated
among the stakeholders and institutions, who are following these reports.
h)
Published the reports in
the newspapers, TVs and Radios and raised mass awareness among the mass people
on trafficking prevention.
i)
Aware stakeholders at
different levels and they are protecting trafficking in their own areas.
j)
Government has taken steps
to prevent trafficking.
