Emergency Appeal for Rohingya Refugees Fire Victims

EMERGENCY APPEAL

On March 5th, 2023, a devastating fire broke out in the Rohingya Kutupalong Balukhali refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.

The fire blazed for three hours in Camp 11, in an area where over 1 million Rohingya Refugees reside. Over 2,000 shelters were engulfed in the fire and 12,000 refugees left homeless.

The Rohingya people, who had already been forced to flee their homes due to violence and persecution in Myanmar, are now facing a new crisis. Additionally, more than 90 facilities, including hospitals and learning centers, were damaged and need to be rebuilt.

BNM’s team is on the ground providing medical assistance to burn victims and mental health support.

We need your support; the displaced refugees have lost everything and are in urgent need of shelter, food, and medical care.
